•  Custom Quote Form, Create a Proposal: Much of Joe's products are custom-made to the precise specifications of his customers. As such, this requires a detailed exchange between the customer and business before settling on the purchase details. Customers can begin by exploring the collection of products available on the site. The customer has a choice to either select the product as-is, or submit a request for customization. After the customer submits the form, Joe creates a product based on the customer's request. He then sends a proposal to the customer that includes a link to the shopping cart pre-filled with the custom product.

• Custom Shipping Quote - Custom Payment Form: Heartwood can't determine shipping on some items ahead of time. They "flag" these items as requiring a custom shipping quote. If the customer has one of these items in their cart during checkout, they are not required to submit payment in order to place their order. Joe contacts the customer with a price for the order that includes shipping, and sends them a link to the custom payment form. The customer enters the amount and proceeds through checkout, this time entering payment information and completing the transaction.
