In these challenging economic times, one small business in Lane County is bucking the trend. HEROweb Marketing and Design has acquired Dive In Designs, a local web development company. This acquisition caps off a year of phenomenal growth for HEROweb, which has included the addition of four new employees in 2010 and brings the total size of the HEROweb staff to 12. In addition, HEROweb has two current openings advertised.
With the purchase of Dive In Designs, HEROweb has increased its customer base by 30%, adding locally recognized names such as BRING Recycling, Greater Goods, The Eugene Running Company, The Women's Business Network, and the City of Coburg to the HEROweb client list.
Co-owner Staci Schipporeit, is looking forward to more opportunity for growth. "We're excited to reach a critical mass that allows us to expand the range of services we offer. With our growing client list, in addition to offering our core services of web design and development, we've been able to expand and hire specialists in online marketing, search engine optimization, and custom programming, as well as add to our design staff. Given the state of the economy these past few years, it's been very gratifying to be able to offer good employment opportunities to local technology workers," she said.
